“Walks”
To The Inauguration!

   Last November, nine highly politically-minded members of our church met and decided to symbolically walk to the Inauguration of Barrack Obama in Washington, DC. by Tuesday, January 20. This was in co-operation with the conference’s InStep for Life program.

Some members jogged, one walked in a wellness center swimming pool, some walked, all had the same goal. The distance needed was 619 miles. The accumulated total was 671 miles!

On Sabbath, January 20 they met after a fellowship lunch to celebrate their success and make plans for the next destination. Sacramento, California was decided upon, to visit Pastor Doug Bachelor’s church by Christmas. The group hopes to add to its number soon.

Those participating, under the leadership of Pam Blackwell, were Pastor Frost and Donna; Cora Chandler, Art and Pat Hurd, Candy Hadden, Glenda Collins, Sherrie Harrison, and Vivian Raitz.
