Our 3rd & 4th Graders in Charge of Worship Service

On Sabbath, November 15, the 13 members of teacher Vivian Hazekamp’s classes led out in the praise time in our church.  It included “Give me that Old Time Religion” and “Give me Oil in My Lamp,” with Vivian Raitz at the piano. It concluded with “Joyful, Joyful we Adore Thee,” accompanied by David Nwadike.



The Introit song was “As we Gather.” Guest minister Kevin Kossick led out in the Invocation. Pastor Frost welcomed our congregation and made announcements. This was followed by the congregational song, “Faith of Our Fathers.” Natali Maldonado read the Scripture reading, and Simon Garren offered the intercessory prayer. Colton Chancey called for the offering. Martha Abbott sang, “Pass me not, O Gentle Savior” for the offertory. The entire group of 3rd and 4th graders played “Amazing Grace” on their recorders. They then assisted Mrs. Hazekamp with the children’s story about “An Honest Man.”



All of the K-8 teachers of the school were called to the platform, and Christi Magboo expressed words of appreciation for their good work with our children. Members of grades 3 and 4 are:  Martha Abbott, Jonathon Bray, Eduardo Campos, Colton Chancey, Simon Garren, Elizabeth Hawthorne, Emily Hehn, Eduardo Lugo, Natali Maldonado, David Nwadike, Zachary Pepper, Jaylyn Schlisner, and Casey Tull.  In addition, Brandon and Cameron Wilcox, third grade sons of music teacher, Mrs. Mary Wilcox, joined in on the musical selections.



We are very proud of all 57 of our students!
 
We were privileged to have Kevin Kossick, Asst. Educational Supt. of the GA-Cumberland Conference present his sermon, “The Sacrifice.”

Closing song was “God of our Fathers,” with Vivian Raitz at the organ.  Mr. Kossick offered the closing prayer.
