As a young man I made some very bad choicesthat landed me in prison for several years. If it were not for studying the Word of God I don’t think that I would have survived very well and would have continued making those bad decisions. The Bible and the writings of Ellen White helped me to keep my head on straight and gave me hope for a second chance when I got out and returned to my home.
There are so many others where I was. I know that they have the time to read. They may be at their most vulnerable time in their lives and now is the time for them to know Christ.
Christ mentions ministering to those in prison right along with the widows, poor, and homeless. I know what kind of people are behind prison walls. They are in need of a loving Savoir as we are. So we try to meet that need. The Bible intimidates some of these prisoners. So, we start with easier to understand literature to help lead them to The Bible and Christ.
A thousand books a year can get into the hands of several thousand prisoners. That’s our goal. We want to hear “Well done thou good and faithful servant” when we get to heaven. And meet the many people whose lives were changed by this ministry and the work of the Holy Spirit.

I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior in 1980. But it was not until about a year ago did I really understand what it meant to surrender ALL! My life is now a life of service and real love for the Lord of my life. He really wants us to visit the sick, feed the hungry, help the poor and minister to the confined. I feel privileged and honored to do for others what Jesus Himself has done for us.
Time is almost run out for this earth. Jesus says, “If you love me keep my commandments.” That is why I am dedicated to helping finish the work by sharing the gospel to prisoners. We need your prayers and support.
