“Everyone has a story,” stated speaker Ginger Tull, at the Dalton, GA SDA Church during the worship hour on Sabbath, June 9, 2007.
Ginger began by saying, “I have a story, you have a story, everyone on the planet has a story. Maybe you were controlled by a parent that dominated you all of your life, just to marry into that same control. Maybe someone stole your

innocence as a child and now you just don’t trust anyone. Maybe you just can’t crawl out of the daily habits that are shipwrecking your life. Some stories have happy endings, and some end in epic tragedy. Here is the good news! Jesus is the Author and Perfector of all of our stories! And as author, He reserves the right to re-write all of the endings on every one of the stories He chooses, as--nothing is impossible with God.”
Mrs. Tull continued, “I feel that the addiction to approval is the biggest battle we have today. Ladies, the day you accepted Christ you became a part of God’s Royal Family and God the Father approves. He approves of you!”
The Women’s Ministries of the Dalton Church, led by Glenda Whisenant, was in charge of the worship service. Opening prayer was conducted in four languages by: Vivian Raitz, (German); Evelyn Green, (Spanish); Joyce Chibuye, (Bemba—a Zambia language); and Sherrie Harrison, (English).
Glenda Whisenant and Reita Suggs added a nice touch by presenting Ginger Tull with a corsage. The congregational Hymn of Praise was “We Have This Hope.” Cora Chandler presented the Scripture reading which was Luke1:37. Ms. Chandler also offered the intercessory prayer. Evelyn Green called for the World Budget offering. The Hands of Praise, a Christian music signing concert group, composed of Joyce Chibuye, Gladiola Griffin, Pam Blackwell, and Sherrie Harrison performed “Amazing Grace,” and later “Jesus, You Are Beautiful.”
During the children’s story, Lisa Miller told of how her own mother learned the importance of honesty.
In her sermon, Ginger shared about the ministry she and her husband, Dr. Murrell Tull, Sr., are in with ShareHim (formerly Global Evangelism), a world-wide ministry. When ShareHim Director, Bob Folkenberg initially asked Ginger if she would preach overseas, she emphatically said “NO - My husband is the preacher!” Later, after considering that she should never say “No” to God, Ginger held her first speaking engagement in Romania in a 17-member church. One hundred non-SDA’s attended, and 75 of the non-members gave their lives totally and completely to the Lord. In Kenya, as many as 3,500 walked up to 10 miles every night to hear Ginger preach, in an isolated dirt field, about their “Big God” (as they called Him). At the Kenya meetings a Pentecostal minister of the largest Pentecostal church in the area and several of his members, were baptized, along with over a hundred other new believers. In Jamaica, at the end of Ginger’s first sermon, a man that had been attending that church for many years, came forward and said that he wanted to be “baptized right now!” As a result of his decision, the life of his entire family was changed.
“What if I had said ‘No’ to Romania, Kenya and Jamaica? What if I had said ‘No’ to the opportunity to speak at the Dalton church today? I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to share the wonderful love of Jesus .The day we accepted Christ we became members of His royal family, and God approves of us,” Ginger said to the women. “We have no need to have low self approval. Nothing is impossible with God.”
Ginger showed a clip of the Christian movie, “Facing the Giants.” Near the end of the movie the coach of the underdog team inspired his football team with the challenge that “Nothing is impossible with God, and win or lose, the team will praise Him.” The team faced the Giants (the unbeaten team they faced for the championship) and won.
Ginger shared three steps for a closer walk with God: (1) Start the day with reading God’s Word and talking with Him in prayer. Take every opportunity to grow in Christ. Ask Him to walk beside you as your Silent Partner (2) Surround yourself with Christian friends who will tell you the truth (3) Make attending Sabbath School and church a priority in your family’s lives.
“The church is God’s idea for helping each other. Only in achieving His plan for our lives can we have a healthy, strong self-image. Allow Him to perfect your story. Nothing is impossible with God,” Ginger concluded.
The closing song was appropriately, “He Knows My Name,” followed by the benediction by Ginger Tull.
The Women’s Ministries service was a very special blessing to our entire congregation, even the men. Thank you to the Women’s Ministries of our church! Thank you to Ginger for a wonderful service and inspiring sermon.
